Cookies Policy
What cookies this site sets, why, and exactly how to turn them off.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — work in comparable ways, and everything below applies to them equally.
Cookies let a site remember things between page loads. Some are needed for the site to function at all; others tell us how the site is used, or support advertising. You are under no obligation to accept anything beyond the strictly necessary ones.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working and cannot be turned off from within the site. They do not identify you personally and are never used for advertising.
On worldstravel.co.uk they do two things only: they protect the enquiry form against automated abuse, and they remember which page you came from so an agent knows what you were reading. Block these and the enquiry form may not submit — you can still call us.
3. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies show us which pages people read and where they leave, so we can improve the site. They are used in aggregate to understand patterns across visitors, not to build a profile of you as an individual.
Where analytics is provided by a third party, that provider sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Declining them does not affect your ability to browse or to send an enquiry.
4. Advertising cookies
If we advertise, advertising platforms may set cookies to measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry and to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. These are set by the platform, not by us, and are governed by that platform's policies.
They are never used to decide what fare you are quoted. Airfare is set by the airline, as set out in our Disclaimer.
5. What we do not do
This matters more than the list of what we do use, so it is stated plainly:
- We do not use cookies to show different prices to different visitors.
- We do not store payment card details in cookies or in your browser. Card details are never collected on this website.
- We do not sell cookie data, and we do not pass it to data brokers.
- We do not use cookies to follow you across unrelated websites for our own purposes.
6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies come from services embedded in our pages rather than from us — analytics providers, advertising platforms, and the font and icon services that deliver page assets. We do not control those cookies and cannot read their contents. Each provider publishes its own cookie and privacy policy.
7. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted the moment you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period so the site can recognise a returning browser; analytics and advertising cookies are usually persistent, with lifetimes set by the provider — commonly a few days up to two years.
8. Your choices under UK law
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR, we may set strictly necessary cookies without asking, but anything else — analytics and advertising — requires your consent, and consent must be as easy to withdraw as it is to give.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser and declining when next asked. You also have the right to ask what personal data we hold and to have it deleted; see our Privacy Policy for how to make that request.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
Your browser gives you full control — you can inspect what is stored, delete it, block categories, or block everything:
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
- Safari — Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions
10. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. No agreed industry standard exists for how sites should respond to it, so we make no claim to honour it — that would be a promise we could not verify. Use the browser controls above instead; those work.
11. Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes to how we handle personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
